join the sage team

If you've looked taken a look at our team page, or if you've seen us in action before, one thing you might notice right away is just how different we all are. We have different interests, different strengths, and even different aesthetics when it comes to weddings and other events. But even through our differences, we share the same values and passion for all things weddings. Sage is a place where we come together and work hard, be creative, and satisfy our clients.

Does this sounds like the kind of place you might like to work or intern? Then we would love to hear from you! We are always accepting applications for interns {event assistants}, but we will make selections upon need basis. If you would like to apply, please read below for more information.

———

+ qualifications: Interns and Assistant Coordinators will ideally be current students or graduates from a relevant field {i.e. public relations, hospitality, communications}, who are excited to gain hands-on experience of event planning. All events can be stressful and emotional for our clients; accordingly, the ideal candidate is hard-working, friendly, composed under pressure, and communicative. Most of our events are in Orange County + Los Angeles County; you must be able travel to these areas, and be available for work on weekends.

+ responsibilities: You will be responsible for all day-of event tasks, which include {but are not limited to}: setting up decor at event sites, assisting vendors with deliveries {i.e. flowers, linens, rentals}, assisting execution of actual event, assisting vendors throughout event, ensuring day-of schedules are being followed, troubleshooting problems that arise, communicating with clients, and much more. You will always be working alongside me {Eunice}, who will be there to direct and mentor. Some assistants will also have the opportunity to work more directly in event planning, such as: assisting with the design and execution of events and photoshoots, collaborating on design projects, contacting vendors, sitting in on client meetings, etc.

+ benefits: Internships can be applied towards college credit. All new interns and coordinators begin with a six-event trial period before finalizing their position on our team. You will gain hands-on experience in event planning and execution unlike anything you can learn in a classroom; we put you in the action, working with real clients, professional vendors, and beautiful locations throughout Southern California.

+ work schedule: Events {weddings, banquets, private parties} are primarily scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays. Interns will be expected to commit for at least six months, and will be scheduled to assist with events most weekends. We are completely understanding of your personal obligations, so we are more than happy to take schedules into consideration as long as proper advanced notice is given.

+ how to apply: If you think you would be a perfect addition to our team, we want to hear from you! Please make sure to follow these instructions carefully, as we will {unfortunately} not review incomplete or incorrectly-submitted applications. Send an e-mail to Eunice with the following items:

——  At the end of your cover letter, please answer the following questions: 1. What inspires you? // 2. What does your ideal day look like? // 3. What are the current top three songs on your playlist?
